GridGames.ID – Even though playing games on smartphones is something that is being loved by a wide audience at the moment, it’s possible for PC games to drop.
This is evidenced by the shipment of gaming PCs and monitors which are predicted to continue to increase over the next three years.
According to a report by research firm IDC, published by GridGames from Kompas.com, gaming PCs and monitors shipped will reach 61.9 million units in 2024.

IDC also predicts, within five years, starting from 2021, the average annual growth rate will reach 5.7 percent.
Still from the same report, in 2021, shipments of gaming PCs and monitors are predicted to rise 16.2 percent year over year (YoY) to 49.6 million units.
This increase is none other than driven by consumer demand around the world who are more active at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to minimize contracting the corona virus.

“Although the first half of 2021 has to face problems with hardware supply, software consumption and gaming services continue to increase along with the duration of play,” said Jitesh Ubrani, IDC research manager for global mobile devices.
Ubrani said that in the next six to 12 months, shipments of gaming PCs and monitors will continue to rise as there will be many new GPUs from Nvidia, AMD, and Intel.
These producers are expected to drive lower market prices and higher performance.
In addition, the emergence of new games and support for ray tracing technology is also expected to drive market demand.
In addition to hardware, the launch of new consoles and game streaming from cloud services, such as Luna, Stadia, and Xbox Game Pass are also highly anticipated and are expected to have a positive impact on the PC gaming and monitor industry.
