James Clarke, Former EA Executive Appointed Creative Assembly COO

GridGames.ID – A major overhaul occurred at the Creative Assembly company, a subsidiary of a large company and creator of the game Alien Isolation & Total War.

According to a GamesIndustry report, the COO of Creative Assembly is now James Clarke.

Clarke was previously an executive at Electronic Arts, having joined the British studio as a financial analyst in 2005.

In February 2015, he served as Senior Director of Strategy at EA Studio Europe as part of their executive team.

Interestingly, Clarke took part in developing business and product strategies for EA’s Need for Speed ​​& Battlefield series.

Not long after, he was appointed Head of Operations at EA Studio Europe in December 2016.

Clarke’s hiring was made by the parent company in April when Tim Heaton moved in as SEGA’s Chief Studio Officer in Europe.

Tim Heaton was previously employed by EA as Senior Development Director between 2002-2008.

Until April 2021, he held dual roles as Executive Vice President, Studio Director at SEGA Europe and Creative Assembly.

Heaton currently oversees the performance of SEGA’s subsidiaries Creative Assembly, Sports Interactive, Relic Entertainment, Amplitude Studios, Hardlight and the recently acquired Two Point Studios.

James Clarke’s entry to Creative Assembly will fill Gareth Edmonson, the former COO of Creative Assembly who was recently appointed as their new Studio Director.
