Pokemon Go’s new Reality Blending feature
GridGames.ID – Pokemon Go developer Niantic has announced that a new AR feature will soon be added to Pokemon Go.
However, the addition of this feature, which will be called Reality Blending, will only be available on certain phones.
Reality Blending will allow players to interact with the world in ways that were previously impossible.

The AR technology found in phones like the Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S10, Google Pixel 3, and Google Pixel 4 will allow your PokePals to appear in the world in a more realistic way.
For now, the new feature will be tested using snapshots in Pokemon Go.
The goal is to make the Pokemon’s shape visible behind objects in the environment, not just floating in front as it currently looks.
So, as you can see from the photo above, this feature allows Pokemon to disappear behind a tree, not just move there.

Testing will start on the aforementioned devices before rolling out to other phones at a later date.
Niantic is also working on creating dynamic 3D maps of all existing PokeStops and Gyms to allow them to implement other AR features in future updates.
They asked the players to continue to help develop this feature and will introduce a feature called PokeStop Scan.
This feature will be an option for level 40 players before sliding to lower level players later.

This will allow players to upload videos from other angles as much as possible from different PokeStops and Gyms.
Videos will be limited to 10 seconds and will assist Niantic in developing the AR experience of the game.
