Shroud: “Valorant will be number one Esports FPS”
Less than a year old, Valorant has been the focus of many players and esports organizations around the world.
The reason is that the FPS game released in June 2020 achieved a very successful launch despite being imported during the coronavirus pandemic.
Valorant has many similarities to Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch, so the gameplay it offers is also drawing the attention of both players.
Valorant was developed by developers as popular as Riot Games, so there are great expectations for the development of this game in the esports world.
Among them is Shroud, who predicts that Valorant will beat the popularity of CS: GO and even League of Legends (LOL)!
Shroud’s comment on Valorant Be Number 1
In his latest stream, a former CS: GO Cloud 9 star talked about Valorant’s potential in the esports scene.
Shroud said Valorant has not yet dominated the world of FPS esports because the best teams in Europe and North America do not have the opportunity to compete for this pandemic.
But he believes Valorant’s popularity will explode as LAN (or offline) tournaments progress.

“Valorant will definitely succeed and work very well, because they have the perfect recipe,” he said.
“The number of CSs is declining, but for fairness, CSs are declining because they are successful on the LAN.
“But still, if Valorant sees the right time to join the LAN and the tournament starts, they will already explode.”

Of course, this is just a prediction from Shroud, and we don’t know when the LAN tournament will resume or if Valorant can dominate.
But one thing we know is that Riot Games also hosts LOL, one of the largest esports games in the world.
So it’s not surprising that Shroud’s prediction that Valorant could follow the success of LOL and that Valorant would be the best Esports FPS in the world is actually correct.
