Tencent Games has announced the PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL) 2020 Season Zero format. The prize pool for this tournament is US $ 850,000, or about Rp12 billion. PMWL 2020 will be held from July 10, 2020 to August 9, 2020.
Initially, PMWL 2020 was planned to be an offline event played in a new studio dedicated to PUBG Mobile in Katowice, Poland. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all games are played online in their respective countries.
PMWL 2020 has two divisions: East and West, or East and West. The only difference is that the team plays in each division. The total prize pool for each category is $ 425,000. There are 20 teams in each division, and Indonesia is represented by two teams, the Bigetron RA and the Morph Team.

Both divisions have the same format, with three rounds: Opening Weekend, League Play, and Final.

Opening Weekend (Opening Week)

- Held July 10 – July 12
- 20 teams divided into 5 groups, 4 teams in each group
- All teams will play 15 games in 3 days
- These results will be used for group distribution in league play rounds.
League play
- Held July 14 – August 2
- Divide 20 teams into 5 groups, depending on the result of the opening weekend round
- Each group will play eight games in a round-robin format (half tournament method-each team will play against all other teams once)
- Top 16 teams participate in Super Weekend
Super weekend
- 16 league play teams will play 15 games in this Super Weekend
- Super Weekend plays every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Only the results of this Super Weekend will be used to participate in the PMWL Final.
PMWL final
- The final match is from August 7th to August 9th
- Top 16 teams in the next league play round
- The team will play 18 games in 3 days and 6 games a day.

The winner will be the PMWL 2020 Season Zero Champion and will receive a prize of US $ 100,000.
