GridGames.ID – ESL and Valve seem to have to be patient and cancel the CS:GO Rio Major 2021 eSports tournament.
The reason is, the event which took place in November had to be canceled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
ESL said they were working through alternative options up to the last hour to make the event a reality.

However, what can be done, the event finally had to face the bitter fact that the global situation forced the cancellation of the championship.
Those who have purchased tickets can still be refunded, but will remain valid when a new tournament date has been announced in the future.

Valve also explained that they are delaying the scheduling of Majors until a secure LAN Regional Major Ranking (RMR) event is held worldwide.

Valve has found that some CS:GO coaches are using the spectator bug to cheat in tournaments.
