Flying beasts can be seen in-game or on screens posted to the Apex Legends subreddit.
The community has called them “Flyers” and if you can shoot them then you can drop the deathbox and get some loot.
The trailer for Season 2, which debuted on EA Play, just before E3 2021, hints at an eyeball like a giant lizard as a teaser at the end.

These creatures are significantly smaller than they were inserted, so they could be a harbinger of some big event to come.

Respawn, the developer of this game, has also provided clues about Season 2 starting with new skins and weapons, as well as weapon balancing.
Season 2 of Apex Legends will also be named “Battlecharge”.
