Free Fire Shopee Indonesia Masters managed to set a record
GridGames.ID – On March 16-17 2021, Garena and Shopee held the final round of the Free Fire Shopee Indonesia Masters 2021 at Mall Taman Anggrek, West Jakarta.
There were more than 20 thousand visitors filled the location during the final round.

The Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) officially announced that the final round of the Free Fire Shopee Indonesia Masters 2021 managed to break the record as an eSports Battle Royale Competition with the Most Participants in Indonesia, with 7920 teams (33,000 participants) who registered to take part in the tournament.

The two-day final tournament was also attended by Mr. Imam Nahrawi as Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (KEMENPORA), and Mr. Triawan Munaf as Head of the Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF).
They expressed their support for the Indonesian eSports world, especially for the Free Fire game.
“The government is happy and will continue to support eSports, especially the Free Fire game which is ranked 1 in Indonesia, for that it is important to provide a broad vehicle for our gamers to develop this in terms of industry and achievements,” said Mr. Imam Nahrawi.
Christian Wihananto as the Producer of Garena Free Fire Indonesia also revealed that he was proud of the award given by MURI to Free Fire.
“This indicates that eSports will increasingly become a channel of talent that continues to grow for the nation’s children. This award also signifies the popularity of Free Fire as the number 1 Mobile Game in the country. So far, no other Battle Royale game has received an award from MURI,” he said.
Christian also said that this is a big motivation for Garena Indonesia, especially the Free Fire team to work harder in providing the best for all players.

Final Free Fire Shopee Indonesia Masters 2021
In the final round, the Capital eSports team showed their skills in surviving on the battlefield and always occupied the highest position in the standings since the first round.
Finally they came out as winners with the highest total points, which is 2130.
They also managed to bring home the winner’s prize in the form of 250 million rupiah in cash, and will represent Indonesia at the 2021 Free Fire World Cup event in Thailand.
Eits, but they will not fight alone, you know. Because the Capital team will be accompanied by the SFI team Zet Hades who also successfully secured the second position with a total of 1515 points.
The two teams will represent Indonesia and compete in Thailand in April 2021.
