Other changes
Riot is adjusting the in-game leaderboard with this update. Leaderboards now more accurately reflect the percentiles of top-ranked players.
Some “adjustments” have also been made to matchmaking. The exact details of this have not been revealed, but Riot states that it aims to reduce matchmaking time and “improve the overall quality of the game.”
It’s no wonder Riot deploys such an emergency patch. Earlier this week, Riot Games WildRift update designer Alex “Wav4Break” Huang revealed that developers would use the same strategy as League on PC in terms of balancing changes.
Indicators such as champion win percentage and pick / tire percentage are used to make change decisions.
