GridGames.ID – Some time ago Nintendo and Sony re-released their old consoles, this time it’s Sega’s turn to resell their old console from the 90s, namely the Genesis.
The device is named “Sega Genesis Mini” because it is smaller than the original 1989 Genesis console, which will be sold in September in the United States and Japan.
Reporting from the KompasTekno page, the official price is set at 80 US dollars or around Rp. 1.1 million. There are two versions of the Sega Genesis Mini that will be sold to the market, namely the US version and the Japanese version, according to the country where it is marketed.

The name is a little different. For the US, the device will be called the “Sega Genesis Mini”, while for the Japanese region it will be called the “Mega Drive Mini”.
Sega Genesis Mini in the US will be sold with a bundle of two controllers that have three buttons (A, B, and C, in addition to the D-pad).
Meanwhile, the Mega Drive Mini in Japan is bundled with one controller for 6,980 yen (Rp 890,000) or two controllers for 8,980 yen (Rp 1.1 million).
Unlike the Sega Genesis Mini in the US, the Mega Drive Mini in Japan has a controller with six buttons (A, B, C, X, Y, and Z, in addition to the D-pad).

Both versions of this console are also equipped with an HDMI port, for connecting devices to a modern TV or monitor, a USB port for connecting a controller, a cartridge slot for inserting game cassettes, as well as a power cable and adapter.

In addition to the controller, buyers of the Sega Genesis Mini and Mega Drive Mini will also get 40 free games that will be embedded directly on the console, which can be played directly without cartridges.
