Why is the release date of LoL Wildlift delayed?
The open beta of League of Legends Wildlift is here and is accessible to MOBA game enthusiasts on all mobile devices.
Even so, only some countries in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia have access to the open beta.
Countries not on the list will not be able to access the open beta due to Riot Games internal reasons. This also affects the full release of the game.
Initially, Riot announced that the LOL Wild Rift will be released on Android and iOS devices in December 2020.
But now they have confirmed that the planned release will be postponed in North America, but will try to do it in other countries.
Riot has announced that it will postpone the LOL Wildlift to 2021 for players in North America, South America and India, as the open beta has already been released in several ASEAN countries, Japan and South Korea.
Why LoL Wildlift Release Dates Are Delayed
Riot Games Executive Producer Michael Chow explained in a Twitter tweet to LoL players around the world why he made this decision.

This pandemic prevents them from traveling abroad, adding complexity in addressing local requirements.
And this makes it impossible to offer them new places and services.

“This is a much more complex and multifaceted problem in servicing a particular region,” says Michael.
“Advancing the release date of this game is not a solution, as it can expose players to many issues and may require the entire game server to be reset,” he continued.
Currently, the open beta version of LoL Wildlift can be played in Indonesia, but unfortunately in countries other than ASEAN, you will have to wait until 2021 before you can play this MOBA game.
