This ML hero sells in mythical ranks! But why doesn't it work in tournaments?

It’s the best-selling hero in Mythic Rank Match Mobile Legends (ML), but it’s not seen in tournaments. Who is it and why?

The hero is Guinevere! He is a Mobile Legends (ML) fighter hero with magical damage. This hero is usually used in the side lane like any other fighter.

There are actually few hero fighters with magic damage, only Esmeralda and Silvana. But slowly, but surely, Guinevere has become a Legend & Mythic-ranked best-selling hero, available on the official Mobile Legends stats website: https://m.mobilelegends.com/en/rank

This hero was distributed free of charge through the Mobile Legends (ML) event in October 2020. Therefore, this hero should have been owned by most Mobile Legends players. But what else is this hero selling so well?

Why does Guinevere sell in ranked matches?

1. Hero core no longer uses spell purification

Through a survey conducted at IG @spin_esports, This is the main reason. Meta core players or jungle players must use retaliation spells when using jungle items.

Guinevere’s 2+ Ultimate Skill Combo, on the other hand, locks the enemy’s hero core, making it easier to catch.

2. A fairly easy-to-use hero

Guinevere is a hero with easy-to-understand skills and high life steal. Many people like it because it is not difficult to move between bases and it is hard to get bored.

Skill 2 can also be used to escape war or be ganged by enemies. If you’re still confused about how to play, watch the following video.

3.1 You can burst a hero against a combo

In terms of damage, this hero is usually backed by the Execute spell, even though he doesn’t have many items, but it’s pretty sick. Most assassins / MMs / mages once the skill 2 + ultimate combo is established. Heroes can die soon.

Also, this combo can hit multiple heroes, so when combined with Atlas, Kufra, or Tigrial, you can instantly eliminate enemy teams.

Why doesn’t Guinevere sell in tournaments?

1. Less durable than Hero Metaside Lane

This answer came directly from ONIC.Butsss (player side laner ONIC Esports) when asked directly by SPIN. The current side lane meta fighter heroes are Yu Zhong, Esmeralda, and Barats, and Guinevere finds it difficult to beat the above heroes one-on-one.

EVOS.Pica, a side trainer for EVOS ML Ladies, who just won the Women’s Star League (WSL), also commented. Compared to the three heroes above, Guinevere has less tank ride and cannot be the second tank hero for the team.

Other side laner heroes are usually filled with MMs or mages, so off-lane fighter heroes usually require high durability.

2. Too much reliance on skill combos

Another point from Butts. Guinevere is definitely a hero who needs a moment. It’s true that if all his combo skills hit, you can instantly pick up and defeat one or two enemy heroes.

However, if the skill fails, Guinevere will be useless for some time until the skill cools down again. And if your opponent’s level is professional, it’s usually quite difficult for Guinevere’s combo skills to hit frequently, as your opponent’s mechanics and teamwork are already high.

What is the chance of Guinevere becoming a metahero in a pro tournament?

According to SPIN Esports, the answer is yes. Three main side laner heroes, such as Yu Zhong, Esmeralda, and Barats, appear to have been further weakened by Moonton. This makes Guinevere’s pick more likely as an alternative to filling the side lane position.

If AOE Stan heroes (Atlas, Tigrial, Ghatotkacha, Kufra, etc.) then return to Meta, Guinevere may be able to join Meta as it makes it easier to combo with Guinevere.

We hope that the best-selling heroes in this Legends & Mythic rank will be able to participate in professional Mobile Legends (ML) tournaments. The heroes you can choose will be more diverse, so that the audience will not get bored.
